Shinrai Knives - Ceramic Sharpening Rod Fine - 30 cm
Keep your knives sharp with the Shinrai Knives Ceramic Honing Rod Fine 30 cm. A honing rod removes a small amount of material from the edge to restore sharpness to a dull knife. Ideal when your kitchen knives start to cut noticeably less smoothly after extensive use.
How to use a honing rod?
1. Secure the honing rod firmly
Place the tip of the honing rod on a stable cutting board. This gives you good control while sharpening.
2. Position the knife at the correct angle
Place the heel of the knife against the honing rod and hold the blade at the correct sharpening angle.
3. Sharpen from heel to tip
Move the knife smoothly along the honing rod, from the heel all the way to the tip. This sharpens the entire edge.
4. Alternate both sides
Repeat the movement on the other side of the knife and alternate both sides evenly until the knife is sharp again.
Unique features and specifications:
- Length 30 cm: sufficient length to sharpen both small and large kitchen knives with control.
- Material: the ceramic surface sharpens the edge with control and refinement.
- Grit (3000): fine grit for regular maintenance and refinement of the edge. Removes less material than a coarser grit and is ideal when your knife is still reasonably sharp.
- Handle: fits comfortably in the hand and provides good control during sharpening.
- Use: suitable for sharpening and maintaining kitchen knives.
- Warranty: 5-year warranty.
